Ready to test your willpower? The expert juice cleanse is an all juice cleanse of six juices per day. The caloric intake is much lower on this cleanse, so you need to prepare yourself for the “full flush” to get your body on track. Enjoy six juices per day in the order listed above every two hours. Repeat the same order for each day of the cleanse. The order is indicated on the bottles for easy organization in your fridge.
We do not recommend this level for a first-time cleanser as it is challenging and requires full dedication.
A common misconception is that beginners should cleanse with juices containing fruit because they are more palatable. We disagree with this theory because the sugar in fruit feeds yeast in the body, causing flu like symptoms, which are often confused as detox side effects.
Don’t get us wrong, we love fruit but only recommend in the expert cleanse. Consistently healthy eaters and cleanse aficionados will have a better experience with this juice cleanse.
Drink as much water as possible. No coffee or any caffeine. Herbal teas are a good supplement. Green tea should be decaffeinated. It is helpful to ween yourself off caffeine pre-cleanse and slowly reintroduce it into your diet post-cleanse. For optimal success, stick to a vegetarian diet and steer clear of red meat and cheese the week before and after the cleanse— they’re notorious for clogging the digestive tract.
Moderate exercise supports the detox process and can make cleansing more enjoyable. Unless you’re an experienced cleanser, strenuous exercise is not recommended. Stick to low-impact or no-impact activities such as walking, swimming, yoga or stretching. A light walk will gently encourage lymphatic circulation. Do not continue if you begin to feel dizzy.
